LEMON BUTTER CAKE

The first recipe which I am going to share on my blog is Lemon Cake which is easy and one of  my favourite Tea Cake from my wishlist, The flavor is just amazing with the combination of sweetness and tangyness of lemons and soft crumb cake just mouth melting bites I just love to bake this Lemon Buttery Cake. So here we go with the simple recipe.

INGREDIENTS

• Flour - 1 cup
• Baking Powder - 1 tsp
• Butter - 1/2 cup
• Sugar - 1/2 cup
• Eggs - 2
• Lemon Zest - 1
• Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp

PROCEDURE

• Preheat oven to 180C and Line the bottom of 9 inch loaf pan with a piece of parchment paper.
• Sieve flour and baking powder into a bowl and keep aside.
• In a large bowl cream butter and sugar together till it becomes light and fluffy.
• Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
• Add lemon zest and lemon juice and mix to combine.
• Add the flour mixture and mix well to make a smooth batter.
• Pour the batter into loaf pan and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
